These Are Some Of The Steps Taken On The Living Room Reno

• The process starts with the potential client contacting us to schedule a meeting.
• We meet to discuss your project needs.
• We take notes, measurements, drawings if any and some pictures for reference to provide you with a detailed quote.
• We then discuss the project outlines with a Professional Engineer or Designer.
• The detailed drawings, though not always required or wanted as it’s an extra cost to your project, is a crucial part of permitting and ensuring a smooth endeavor.
• Once the quote was accepted we created a detailed progress schedule from start to completion.
• The client asked if we could move some of the bulkier items into their kitchen.
• We had a dumpster delivered and started the demo of the room.
• Once the room was demolished and all materials disposed of we vacuumed the area.
• This was time sensitive as it was winter and all exterior insulation was removed.
• We installed the new Rockwool® insulation, vapor barrier and taped all joints.
• A few of the 2×8 floor joists had cracks in them so we had braced them with Simpson Strong Tie® hardware as per the Engineer.
• We installed new sheathing on the floors with glue and screws.
• An electrician we work with ran all new electrical to the room including flush mount LED’s and gimbal LED’s to showcase the fireplace.
• Next we hung 5/8 fire code drywall.
• The fun part of taping and mudding of the drywall begins. And happily ends!!
• Paint all walls affected by the reno with a perfect match from Dulux®.
• Add new crown mouldings, and custom doorway trims.
• Doorway trims and jams were all pine, routered on site to the clients approved profile.
• Paint all trims.
  Install the new brick veneer, hearth and mantle around the fireplace which was purchased from and installed by Napoleon®.
• We then installed the customer chosen wire brushed, oak hardwood floors from Preverco®.
• Installed the baseboard trim and painted it.
• Project completed.
• The client then reached out to us for assistance in hanging their newly purchased TV.
• We were happy to oblige.
• While onsite they asked about cabinets for either side of the fireplace.
• We contacted a custom cabinet manufacturer that we know and he made the units to their desired specs.
